The Big Egg Chicken Tractor (pictured above) is our largest coop. It has an attached run that measures 120 inches long, 32 inches wide and 24 inches tall.  The coop measures 44 inches wide, 43 inches long and averages 36 inches tall.  It has three roosts and can accommodates up to 8 hens.

Gates on the run gives you easy access to their water & feed.  The gates also allows birds to free range (if desired).  Gates can be located on the top of the run or on the side.

The coop door keeps your birds safely inside during the night.

A pull string and a cleat allow you to open and close the door from outside of the coop.

Back corners are ideal for laying nests

A chicken tractor is basically a portable coop with an attached run that allows the chickens to scratch and peck at the ground.  This keeps the birds contained and safe yet, gives them access to bugs and fresh greens every day.

Chicken tractors are ideal for backyard poultry.  These units can be easily moved by one person to a fresh spot of ground every day.  This prevents the droppings from accumulating in one spot and minimizes any smell.  Additionally, the droppings are excellent fertilizer for the lawn and garden.

The chicken tractor is not a new idea.  However, through years of building coops we have arrived at a design that is one of the most affordable and functional chicken tractor designs available.

We offer two sizes of chicken tractor; the Big Egg which houses up to 8 birds and the Little Egg which will house up to 5 birds.  We offer easy to assemble kits and detailed plans on how to build these chicken tractors for yourself.

The Little Egg Chicken Tractor (pictured above) is smaller and lighter than the Big Egg. It has an attached run that measures 105 inches long, 26 inches wide and 24 inches tall.  The coop measures 25 inches wide, 32 inches long averages 33 inches tall.  It has two roosts and accommodates up to 5 hens.  The Little Eggs will fit through most standard yard gates.

These chicken tractors were designed with the backyard chicken farmer in mind:

Lightweight and movable by one person using the handle bar at the end of the run

Spacious coop and run give plenty of room for nesting and foraging

Sturdy design provides protection from weather and predators

Tilting roof access simplifies feeding, egg collection and cleaning

The top of the run is made of shade cloth to keep birds cool (standard on all kits)

Modular design makes it easy to disassemble for storage & shipping
